Choristers of the Australian Youth Choir sang at the Melbourne Cup Parade on Monday 1st November and the Pre Race Ceremony on Tuesday 2nd November.

What a great experience for all choristers to celebrate the 150 years of the Melbourne Cup.

After the soaking rain on the weekend, the sun shone brilliantly on Monday as choristers paraded down Swanston St dressed in the jockey colours of the winning horses for the past 149 years. Tishan was the only one not to have the colours of a horse as he represented 2010!

On Melbourne Cup Day, the choristers performed with well known Australian performer David Campbell. The choristers lined the Mounting Yard at Flemington in spectacular fashion and sang a special song for the race – “Go the Distance” and then our national anthem. Luckily the rain held off until after the performance.
