In February, members of Melbourne Chamber Choir stood "side by side" with two famous Melbourne "Macguire's" when they were invited to open the proceedings at the Golden Jubilee Testimonial dinner for Fr Bob Macguire (well known Melbourne identity), hosted by Eddie McGuire, president of Fr Bob's favourite footy team Collingwood

Fr Bob is renowned for his support of the most disadvantaged members of the community. His passionate love of Collingwood made Eddie McGuire the logical choice to host proceedings

The dinner helped to raise funds to provide scholarships for underprivileged children. The Fr Bob Maguire scholarship foundation is about providing opportunities for kids to have a better future, But the dinner was also to honour a man who has devoted his life to those for whom life is a struggle.
