About the Australian Youth Dance Theatre
"SKILLS FOR LIFE"

The Australian Youth Dance Theatre (AYDT) is a division of the National Institute of Youth Performing Arts - Australia (NIYPAA), governed by a Board of Directors. As a private organisation, that does not receive financial assistance from any government authority or corporate entity, funding is derived from tuition fees, concert performances and merchandising. The Dance Theatre does not undertake any fundraising activities. Under the Dancer Theatre’s management profile and organisational framework
a structured course of study in Jazz dance is offered.

In addition to the weekly rehearsal programme, the Dance Theatre undertakes
two major Concerts each year:
Autumn Concert Series (May)
Spring Concert Series (October/November)
The concerts are shared with the Australian Youth Choir. It is the Dance Theatre’s policy that all dance students involved in the programme have the opportunity to perform at these concerts.

The Dance Theatre has established rehearsal centres throughout metropolitan and regional areas in five states of Australia. For further information please contact your nearest office
